Bio:

Mathew Doxen was born in 1926. After Pearl Harbor in 1941 Mathew lied about his age to 4 different recruiting stations till one let him in. He discovered his speedster powers fighting Nazies in WWII. After the War he was a member of a prominent super team that saved the world on a number of occasions. But as the years went by it became apparent that Mathew, unlike his fellow team mates, was not aging. Slowly all his friends retired, or drifted off to fight evil on other worlds or in other dimensions or were killed by villains. Matt tried retiring himself a few times, but the needs of the innocent just kept pulling him back in.

Today is Mathew’s 90th birthday and nearly every member of his original team is dead. Though he looks to be only 21 years old and tries to keep up appearances as a wise cracking young hero, in fact he is very old in his soul.

Mathew learned loyalty and devotion first as a marine, then as a superhero fighting the evils of Nazism during WWII. He learned about the true face of evil, having seen the death camps first hand. He has never been able to turn away from those in need ever since even though now he secretly feels increasingly tired and cynical.

Mathew was born before houses had televisions, he and his family had to walk a mile to use a neighbors telephone and indoor plumbing was considered a luxury. He has a hard time working any kind of modern electronics more complex than a touch tone phone.
