Game Synopsis

Mutant Underground Safehouse, Los Angeles
Mon, July, 04, 2016 – 08:00 PST

The Hollywood Knights temporary new base is a Mutant Underground safehouse. The team is celebrating the 4th of July.

We learn that IMAGE has been successfully recruiting from the Mutant Underground.

Our celebration is interrupted by a Breaking News Flash. Captain Stalwart is dead. Murdered by an unknown superhuman. Other reports cover the theft of 10 bodies from a local Harris Landing graveyard.

Mr. Motion tells us that Captain Stalwart was an old friend and he is leaving to investigate his friend’s death. Hollywood Knights join him in Harris Landing.

City Center, Harris Landing
Mon, July, 04, 2016 – 10:00 PST

Hollywood Knights arrive to find a fresh crime scene with Law Enforcement, Crime Scene Investigators, and the Media.

Street Angel finds the highest ranking police officer, HLPD Lt. Morgan and offers their assistance. He is introduced to the lead HLPD Detective Davis. He had two witnesses, but no camera coverage.

We learned that here have been two other unexplained deaths recently. The local High School Principal Paul Daniels, and a local Mortician James Morgenson.

Our investigation kicks into high gear. We learn that David Morgenson, son of James Morgenson, and our prime suspect. Our investigation of the Morgenson’s home reinforces our suspicions.

We interviewed David Morgenson’s Vice Principle Dana Niedermeyer We convince her to identify David Morgenson’s friends, enemies, and bullies. The Hollywood Knights leave the school to interview them.

The investigation goes on for several days and while we know who we are looking for we can’t seem to find anything. Captain Stalwart, aka James Epstein, is laid to rest on Friday, July 8th. Unfortunately we are no closer to catching his killer.

Cemetery, Harris Landing
Tues, July, 08, 2016 – 10:00 PST

The day of Captain Stalwart’s funeral for is a who’s who of VIP’s, celebrities, and Superheroes. Including the Champions, the Protectors, and Hollywood Knights.

Mr. Motion stands in for his comrade’s family. At the most dramatic moment Carcass (aka David Morgenson) drops his disguise as City Councilman Davis, dozens of Zombies break through to the surface and attack the mourners.

Carcass grabs the body of Captain Stalwart before anyone can react and teleports away with the body.

My only job was to protect the body, but I failed.

The police, security, and superheroes quickly destroy the zombie horde, but there are casualties. The body count is 18 dead and 31 wounded.

The Champions and Protectors escort the mourners to safety and the local Law Enforcement imposes a curfew. Hollywood Knights will patrol the town looking for zombies and Carcass.

The heroes rescue several teens caught outside, but even so failed to save everyone. Later that night they receive an emergency call from the HLPD.

Gina Gomez, a local high school teacher was brutally murdered in her home. The body was dismembered. We come to the conclusion that the perpetrator must have been a Zombie Captain Stalwart.

A car crashes down into the living room.

I order the HLPD to clear the area and Hollywood Knights engage Zombie Captain Stalwart.

Knowing Captain Stalwart’s capabilities I unleash my most lethal attack. Zombie Captain Stalwart targets me. Using a Death from Above attack it charges through me as I become light, crashing into the ground, and burying itself in a crater.

Hollywood Knights gang up on it. I clear the hole, not wanting to get caught in an area attack. The others do not listen to my warning.

Carcass makes another dramatic entrance and attacks Mr. Motion, stunning him. Amber traps them in the crater. I heal Mr. Motion and restore him enough to return to the fight. Carcass loses the initiative and teleports away with Zombie Captain Stalwart.

Frustration does not begin to describe how I feel.

The Champions, the Protectors, and Hollywood Knights meet up and convince the Authorities to evacuate the town. A brief debate on who escorts the civilians to safety ends with the Hollywood Knights staying behind to deal with the threat.

Defender gives us a map of a network of caverns under the cemetery as the possible lair of Carcass.

Midnight digs a tunnel into the caverns and Hollywood Knights search and destroy any Zombies we find. We locate Carcass’s sleeping area, entertainment area, and a cavern with his semi-sentient Zombie mother.

She babbles on about her son and his new friends. About how her husband murdered her by pushing her down the stairs. We leave her alone to her knitting. Mr. Motion does not even suggest destroying her.

A search of Carcass’s sleeping area reveals a cut fingernail under the mattress. Deducing that it may be a teleport focus we lay an ambush for Carcass. While waiting for our targets we deduce that Carcass and the Zombies may be vulnerable to sunlight.

Carcass’s Lair , Harris Landing
Tues, July, 09, 2016 – 05:17 PST (Sunrise)

As the hours pass and dawn approaches Carcass and Zombie Captain Stalwart arrive. Detecting our presence they move to attack us.

Mr. Motion attacks Zombie Captain Stalwart and is hit by Carcass. I unleash everything on Zombie Captain Stalwart and the others move into position.

Mr. Motion grabs Carcass and drags him to the surface. In the sunlight he begins to burn.

Meanwhile in the caverns below, the rest of Hollywood Knights continue to battle Zombie Captain Stalwart.

The battle is desperate and Carcass escapes from the burning sun and teleports into the sleeping area.

I try to distract Zombie Captain Stalwart as Hollywood Knights gang up on Carcass.

Mr. Motion grabs Carcass and drags him to the surface. Where upon Twister carries them both farther into the sunlight and the villain begins to burn.

Meanwhile in the caverns below; the rest of Hollywood Knights continue to battle Zombie Captain Stalwart.

Carcass escapes from the burning sun and teleports into the sleeping area. Where he is attacked by Midnight, Amber, and PSI-Kick.

I manage to delay Zombie Captain Stalwart for a moment. Seeing his Master in danger he flies over, grabbing Carcass, and makes for the surface. Quickly pursued by the whole team of Hollywood Knights from above and below.

I manage to chip away some more of Zombie Captain Stalwart. Before pursuing them both just outside the entrance.

Twister and Mr. Motion are both badly wounded by an attack by Carcass. In desperation Carcass strikes Mr. Motion a mortal wound literally blowing his body apart. Zombie Captain Stalwart hesitates and Carcass looks angrily on his slave. “I guess this does not make us friends anymore.” echoing his contempt.

A glimmer of humanity returns to Zombie Captain Stalwart. “Matt!!! What have I done? What have I become?” Mr. Motion dies mumbling words to his friend. Turning on his master he grabs Carcass and flies straight towards the sun dropping the villain from what has to be a half mile up.

Carcass teleports away only to land in PSI-Kicks hands (Literally) where she has the fingernail. She attacks the villain but her attack appears ineffective. Enraged I unleash a barrage of deadly living light bolts at point blank range on the villain who is on the ground. Knocking him unconscious.

The team stops me before I unleash another barrage on a defenseless target. Calming me down as we call in PRIMUS to arrest, detain, and transport Carcass.

I try to bring Mr. Motion back, but his spirit is gone. I heal Twister and we wait. The PRIMUS Agents arrive to find us around the body of our teammate Mr. Motion aka Matthew Doxen.

Silver Avenger Webster agrees to handle the body of Mr. Motion with respect and the highest level of security.

Game Synopsis

Street Angel’s Log

They came for us in broad daylight. They attacked us in our secret base. Genocide sent five Minute Man Robots and a five man team of Genocide Agents.

Dr. Fiasco discovered them first, warning us of the attack, but at the cost of his life.

With Crimson Lake’s departure barely ahead of the law and Mr. Motion and Twister on leave we were out gunned by this threat.

Leaving PSI-Kick, Midnight, the new recruit Amber and I to face this threat we attacked.

Sending out a general call for help from PRIMUS Silver Avenger Webster and Hardcore.

Concentrating fire on the Minute Man Robots we downed one quickly, but still heavily out numbered and out gunned.

We still fight more as individuals rather than as a team, but I managed to keep everyone in the fight.

In our most desperate moment IMAGE arrived to join the fight, but even they were quickly overwhelmed by the Minute Man Robots and the long range support of Vengeance.

Crimson Lake, now Locks, appeared with IMAGE and Mr. Motion arrived in time help balance the forces of the engagement.

Genocide Agents ran out of our base and jumped into a waiting Vehicle, but were quickly contained by Amber.

Moments later our Base exploded. Destroying the Vehicle, knocking out the Genocide Agents, and turning the battle into chaos.

The arrival of more of IMAGE’s team with their leader Murdock helped put down the final Minute Man Robots. Vengeance escaped without being engaged.

In the aftermath we collected the Genocide Agents for questioning and I restored the the Hollywood Knights and IMAGE to consciousness.

Murdock tried to recruit the Hollywood Knights to join IMAGE, but Mr. Motion rejected the offer on the team’s behalf.

Then Troll murdered the unconscious Genocide Agents.

Enraged the Hollywood Knights attacked IMAGE. I managed to knockout Troll and the rest of the team turned on the others.

IMAGE retreated through their gate and Tee Kay tried to through his team mates through it as well. Midnight grabbed Troll and escaped the battlefield.

Mr. Motion and I followed IMAGE through their gates. Exposing two safe houses before being forced to withdraw. Returning to our former Secret Base we find PRIMUS on scene.

Midnight successfully turned Troll over to PRIMUS custody and Genocide lost five Minute Man Robots and five Genocide Agents.

Standing in the ruins of our Base the Hollywood Knights morn their losses. Dr. Fiasco dead, Crimson Lake (now Locks) betrayed them and joined IMAGE.

Amber’s words keeping going round and round in my head. “What do we do now?”

Game Synopsis:

Psi-Kick awoke in the middle of the night with a terrifying dream. At the same time in DC Mr.Motion wakes with a feeling of total sadness. Psi-Kick had a premonition of something very terrible was going to happen to the Knights. She had a really bad headache that would just never go away. Causing her all kinds of frustrations with her psychic powers.

The next day the Knights hear of a robbery going on but when they get there, there is a group of 6 young teens. They have already defeated the villainess Arachne. After a few pleasantries, both groups go their own ways. The next day the Knights again respond to a call of chaos in the streets only to find that the same group of teens had just taken down Armadillo with a very good show of teamwork. More conversations and then both parties leave again.

Upon investigation, the Knights find that there is a 2 hour gap between when the kids teleported away with the villain and when they were reported for processing at Primus. Confrontations with the kids puts them on the defensive about what they are doing.

Mr Motion talked with Silver Avenger Webster to try and find out more about these kids. All Webster finds out is that whatever they are doing, it has something to do with Homeland Security and is above his clearance. He does give Motion a tracking device so that they can try to find out where the kids are teleporting to.

While Motion was away, Street Angel was out patrolling, and Midnight was working, Psi-Kick and Twister were hanging out in the base with Crimson. Crimson was very aloof from the rest of the team, being very curt and short tempered with everyone. Twister was watching the monitors while Psi-Kick tried to sleep. When Twister went to check in on Crimson, her door was locked. When he checked in on Psi-Kick, she wasn’t sleeping, but instead just had the crap knocked out of her. Twister set off the panic alarm. As the rest of the team came back to the base, they find out that someone had gone through the base security files. Checking on Crimson’s room they find that there was a struggle there. Motion calls in Primus for help.

Security tapes show that over a week ago someone looking like Crimson came into the base while she was in her room. There looked to be a fight of some kind, but the cameras all went blurry static. The Primus forensics team found two different types of blood in her room. One belonging to Crimson, and the other was some kind of chimeric blood. It kept changing as it was being studied. Primus agents when through Crimson’s room and had some hush hush talks with Webster about something they found in her room.

A few days later the Knights found with some help from Tweaker, that there were some computer supply stores being robbed. Thinking that it might be either the teens or the changeling, they found a pattern and went to confront the baddies. When they arrived, there was a full on battle happening. The teens were fighting the Amazings. What was more odd was that Crimson was with the Amazings. For the moment Motion decided to help the kids and to rescue Crimson. Only she didn’t want to be rescued, saying that she was fine and didn’t want to be helped by the party, that the Amazings had just rescued her and that she was trying to help turn them back to their old selves.

With the help of the Knights, the kids made quick work of the Amazings, but not until after Crimson escaped with 2 of them. Hardcore then sucker punched the leader of the kids causing a brief flare up between the two. They settled the fight and agreed to let the kids take one prisoner and use the tracker to find out where they go.

The kids do drop the Amazing off at a Primus outpost, not the official Primus HQ. Webster shows up and says that yes this is a Primus outpost, but he can’t get any information as to what they are doing. The Knights take the prisoner with them to another teleportation platform to see where it takes them. It only takes the prisoner but with the tracker the find out that it is somewhere just inside international waters in the Pacific Ocean. Webster gives them a helijet and they arrive to see a very old looking ship.

Twister does a flyby looking for anything or anyone but sees nothing. Motion runs over the water and tries to phase through the hull of the ship only to find that it is too solid for him to pass through, nearly knocking himself out in the process. Twister saves him from the water.

Psi-Kick lands on the deck of the ship and a giant robot popped up from below deck and started blasting everyone. It didn’t take long before Motion called the teens for help believing that the robot was too powerful for the Knights to take down on their own. The teens showed up and with a combined effort of Motion and Twister they knocked the robot off into the water. Two of the teens were aquatic and sunk the robot rendering it inoperable.

The two parties once again parted on tense terms. The Knights return to base and see Crimson is back. She is very unhappy with the Knights as they didn’t save her and she gives them the cold shoulder. The teens follow through with a request by Motion and their benefactor gives the Knights a call. The Knights arrive to a small camp and meet Mr. X. He is very friendly and tells the Knights that he is on their side, but on a much higher national level. The Knights have a bad feeling about him but have nothing on him. Eventually the Knights return to base.

Motion talks with Webster about the chain of events and Webster tells Motion that he is worried about what is going on. A few days later the teens call the Knights and tell them they are leaving town, going to Montana to deal with some national threats.

Game Synopsis

It was another crazy day in the lives of Hollywood Knights. Twister was playing cards and not doing too terribly well. Street Angel was approached by a woman who wanted him to heal her son of his homosexuality. Psi-Kick was paid a lot of money to “dance” for a kid that didn’t seem all that into it. Crimson Lake was trying hard to figure out why the whole internet seemed to have gone down all at once. Mr. Motion was off visiting his old buddy Captain Stalwart. Yep, another day in the life of our intrepid heroes.

Across town, Hardcore’s sister had a recent breakthrough with her Cyberkinetic powers. She had devised microscopic nanites (tiny robots) who could purify water. While she seemed very excited, the breakthrough and its impact on society seemed lost on Hardcore. He was much more excited that James, his old buddy, had asked him to be part of his band. Things didn’t go so well. When walking through the mosh pit at the club a kid ran into his back and busted open his face against Hardcore’s invulnerable skin. The crowd started catching wind of what went on and he was getting a lot of heat for his “freakness”. The band said that it was better if he didn’t go on with them. Poor Hardcore. Good thing that Nicole (Psi-Kick) showed up to help console him.

As he and Nicole were leaving the club Hardcore received a frantic call from his neighbor and immediately headed home calling the Knights on his way. When the team showed up at the apartment building was a shambles and a robot was attacking people on the street. The team moved to defend the civilians that the robot was targeting and Hardcore immediately made his way to his apartment. When he got there he found his sister seemingly reverted to her previous autistic state and his neighbor, Mrs. Harrington dead. The apartment was destroyed and when Hardcore got his sister outside he recognized the killer robot as Tate (T-8), Sarah’s housekeeping and security robot. The Knights were able to take down the newly aggressive robot. A group of PRIMUS agents showed up and took Sarah into custody. Hardcore tried to accompany them in vain.

The Knights and Hardcore then headed to the local PRIMUS office where a favor from Silver Avenger Webster got them to the detention level where Hardcore’s sister was being held. As they approached the cell block the door suddenly slammed shut cutting off the cells. The other door opened and a robot, who looked decidedly like an older version of Mechanon, appeared. The Knights made there way into the cell block but stopped short when the Robot forced their surrender by using Sarah as a hostage.

Locked up in the other cells the Knights plotted their plan using Nicole’s mind link. When they were finally presented an opportunity Street Angel escaped his cell and hit the button on the wall releasing the rest of the Knights and Hardcore. While Mechanon was powerful he was not fully functional. Hardcore and the Knights were able to destroy the robot and end his plan.

They were able to piece together Mechanon’s plan with PRIMUS’s help. Mechanon had reprogrammed Sarah’s nanites to return her to an autistic state with a limited mind control suggestion that she build her killer robot again (something she was already prone to doing when she was autistic). His plan was to get Sarah sent to Stronghold where his body parts would also be shipped once he was defeated by the Champions. He then used the nanites in Sarah’s system to fry her inhibitor collar, once free of the collar Sarah did what she was programmed to do, she built a killer robot out of the nearest parts in the prison which happened to be Mechanon albeit an incomplete one thankfully. Mechanon’s larger plan was to use Sarah’s water purifying nanites to kill all the algae and microbes in the world’s oceans of the world thus wiping out 70% of earths oxygen recycling ability, as well as THE base food supply for all ocean life therefore wiping out all life on earth.

Game Synopsis

Hardcore meets Twister at one of the local bars to shoot some pool. During the evening Hardcore mentions that he heard on the street that the superhuman burglary crew GRAB was in town and they were going to hit the Fowler Museum. This leads Twister to call the rest of the Knights and inform them. It seems that the Fowler Museum, located on the campus of UCLA, has an exhibit of Irish and Celtic artifacts. The team decides to stake out the museum and Hardcore asks to tag along.

When on site the team takes positions in and around the museum to look for GRAB. They don’t have to wait long before a portal opens and the supervillains appear. The villains expertly disable the security system and make their way inside. Hummingbird tries to take out the guards but it turns out to be Twister and Street Angel in disguise. They fake unconsciousness for a time until all of GRAB gets inside. They spring the trap and engage the burglary crew. They are able to take down most of the villains but Hummingbird continues to elude them. Finally, when the last of the other three falls, Hummingbird gives herself up. They interrogate the crew and find that they were to steal a particular dagger and take it to a warehouse in Hermosa Beach. The team decides to let the burglary crew go and pursue the person who hired them to steal the dagger.

Psi-Kick recognizes the dagger as the one that her mother kept a painting of. She makes a call to her mother’s old partner, Kirsten Halloway, to get some answers. While Psi-Kick and Hardcore head to a diner to meet Kirsten the rest of the team make their way to the warehouse. At the warehouse a lone thuggish looking man is standing next to a truck. The team takes him down quickly and interrogates him. It takes a while but they finally find that he is to meet someone at the Los Angeles Hilton, the problem is that he doesn’t know who.

Back at the diner Psi-Kick finds out that the weapon that GRAB stole was the “Dagger of Agrona” and it is one of the few items in the world that can kill Nevermind (a mentalist villain who is an ancient ancestor of Psi-Kick). Kirsten is worried that Nevermind is here to abduct Psi-Kick again and warns her against confronting him. She also fills in what happened on Psi-Kick’s sixteenth birthday that she can’t remember. Psi-Kick is wisely reluctant to seek out the villain but her heroic nature wins out.

The team meets at a location nearby the hotel and makes a plan to have some of the heroes go in as civilians. It is late but the bar is still somewhat crowded when the heroes enter. They look around for something suspicious but everything seems to be business as usual. Fuentes walks in and is nearly immediately met by a working girl. The team keys on her for the moment and suddenly Hardcore snatches the dagger from Psi-Kick. It is obvious to the team that Hardcore has been controlled by the villain and they engage him. When Hardcore finally falls it is Mr. Motion that gets possessed. The experienced hero is able to shake free of the control and Nevermind turns to Crimson Lake. As she begins to engage the heroes and take back the dagger Mr. Motion scoops up Psi-Kick and takes off at full speed. Nevermind abandons Crimson Lake and says simply “This will not be the last time we meet.”

Game Synopsis

Several months have passed and while the group’s size has diminished they continue to stem the tide of crime in the Los Angeles area. Their popularity continues to rise and they are now treated as celebrities in the L.A. area. It hasn’t all been easy. Without a clear leader of the group and their primary financial backing there has been a hole. They receive a summons from the court to appear at Blight’s trial. This leads them to a reunion of sorts with Mr. Expeditious who brings a friend with him to dinner. His friend needs no introduction, it is the long time speedster superhero, Mr. Motion. Mr. Ex explains that he understands that the team may need the leadership that a hero of Mr. Motion’s caliber could provide. He additionally says that he will continue to financially back the team and they don’t have to worry about being thrown out on to their collective asses.
The following day they meet with ADA, Robert Ilkan, and go over the case. It seems like a slam dunk and the ADA is happy that there will be Superheroes in the gallery as security is a must. When the trial starts, the security is tight and PRIMUS is out en force. The first couple of days go well and Mr. Expeditious is questioned and heads back to Bakersfield. Mr. Motion gets acquainted with the team and he and Street Angel attend each day to support the team and provide additional security.
The third day starts like the rest but during the ADA’s questioning of a witness a man in a dark blue form fitting outfit suddenly appears in the courtroom. He immediately smashes a mirror on the ground in front of him and the other members of Anarchy appear. Blaze cows the crowd and many of the security detail. Mr. Motion leaps into action but is blasted by Blaze. Harpy grabs Blight and takes him over near the man in blue. Street Angel attacks Harpy but Quartz leaps in front of the blast. He slams into Harpy and she, Blight and Quartz are all knocked back to the wall. Psi-Kick tries to talk to the bunch and Haze seems receptive but the before anything else can happen all of the villains vanish.
Silver Avenger Webster immediately locks down the courthouse and gets the judge to issue a court order for the cell phone of Blight’s lawyer, W. Clark Hall. The Silver Avenger begins interviewing witnesses with Mr. Motion present. After a short interview he lets the members of Hollywood Knights go. Crimson Lake heads back to the base while Street Angel and Twister hit the streets. Psi-Kick has suddenly come down with an incapacitating headache and heads back to the base as well.
Street Angel goes to a West Hollywood dive bar called Ivan’s and mixes with the local color. There a particularly drunk Russian gangster is running his mouth and generally being an ass. He is really giving the waitress Alyona a hard time which irks Street Angel. Street Angel calls Twister to come to the bar to see what they can get out of the drunk Russian.
Shortly after Twister arrives the gangster is ushered out the back door by his comrades and the heroes pursue. When out at the car they interrogate the gangster for information on Shatter who he quickly gives up as Leon Romanovich. They get Shatter’s address and contact the rest of the team with their information.
Back at the base Crimson has tracked the cell phone that was used to communicate with Blight’s attorney to an area in Castaic. The group decides to check out Shatter’s apartment first. They are quickly able to subdue Shatter who is severely hurt by several vicious blows by Crimson. Street Angel heals the thief and the group interrogates him. He claims to have been forced to pay off the Russian Mob to keep his family safe. He has little information on Anarchy’s current whereabouts but seems sincere. Shatter is turned over to PRIMUS who takes him in.
The team heads to Castaic to investigate the area where the cell phone was tracked to. They speak to several citizens who seem to have no information before talking to an old woman walking her dog. The woman claims to have seen a huge bird landing at the home at the end of a cul-de-sac. The team enters the house and finds clues which confirm that Anarchy had been there. They also find a Department of Water and Power map book which is missing several pages. A quick trip to DWP and a rather annoying discussion with an employee there finally yield a couple of pump stations in the area. The team deduces that Anarchy may be trying to poison the water supply.
The team checks out the two sites and dismisses one due to its rural locale. They decide to stake out the other pump station and call Hardcore from the Mutant Underground for assistance. There they wait for two days before, on the third night, they spot a dark form come into the area. They hear the beating of huge wings and engage the villains. They are short-handed with both Street Angel and Crimson otherwise engaged but with good teamwork and a bit of luck prevail.
PRIMUS again comes in and collects the villains with Silver Avenger Webster very appreciative of the group’s success. They decide against alerting the press as they do not wish to alarm the local population.

XP and Rewards

Twister and Mr. Motion get 5 XP each
Psi-Kick, Crimson Lake and Street Angel receive 3 XP as each missed one session.

At the same time, the Mutant Underground starts to notice some more missing members. At first it was Switchboard. The constant mind link he provided the organization suddenly went quiet. The next day Portal and Hound went to go see what if anything was wrong with him. They too disappeared. Hardcore fearing for the worst contacted Twister and asked to meet the Hollywood Knights. Not wanting to give out where their secret base is, they agreed to meet him at a local burger joint.

Upon arriving they found the place being robbed. While that is unusual, it was the most sane thing of what was going on. The place was being robbed by a bunch of teenage girls. They were acting way more aggressive than normal girls and seemed to have a solid plan for executing the robbery. There were some agents of some kind battling with them. When the Knights intervened, both the agents and the robbers turned on them. During the combat, Psi-Kick kept getting mind readings that these girls were trying to complete some game to get their reward. The Knights did subdue one of the girls and held on to her for Primus to come and collect. The other girls escaped and fled with barely $200 in cash. Psi-Kick tracked in their mind that they were going to go to the mall next.

After Primus collected the one girl, the Knights took off to the mall to find the other girls. Once there, they found the mall to be completely filled with teenage girls. All of them were walking around and complaining. Figuring that the girls might not have made it to the mall yet the Knights went outside. From a loud explosion down the block, they made haste to check on the noise. They found another teenage girl there and she too was in a conflict with some agents.

The young girl was incredibly strong, and the more the agents shot her, the more enraged she became. Hardcore felt a few of her full punches, including being pile driven through the bridge and into the river below. Just as the Knights finished subduing the girl, another dark goth girl came flying through and started blasting the heroes. They had a hard time hitting her as she kept flittering back and for with great speed. While Twister got into a shoot out with the goth girl, Hardcore felt something changing in him. Slowly he became more and more feminine. His cries for help from the heroes went unheard. Psi-Kick tried to save Twister who was losing in his shootout with the goth girl.

Once Hardcore was fully transformed he became Brandy, a cute teenage girl version of himself. While Street Angel tried to help cure Brandy, he too felt the powerful magics coarse through his body and he became the cute redhead Daphne. As Psi-Kick tried to flee with Twister she felt the unconscious hero also transform into the sex pot Trisha Belle. Psi-Kick fled as she too started to feel the effects being sent her way. Miss Manners finally appeared to the heroes and with a few soft words she had the three new girls ready to play her game.

Putting things all together, the Knights realized that the familiarity of the burger joint robbery felt like they were dealing with a well known mercenary gang called The Amazings. The big fight with the girl on the bridge was for sure a battle with the hero known as Big Boy. Seeing as how they were transformed they decided the only way to get back to normal was to play the game and win it.

They listened to the rules and learned of the five things they needed to do in order to win. Green dough from dead cattle. Now the burger robbery made sense. They went to a burger joint and all got change for a large bill. It placates the primal rage. They figured out that they had to play a musical instrument while singing. With two down they started to figure out how this crazy Miss Manners thinks. It will take her breath away. Three sets of diamond earrings solved that problem. State the golden phrase. With a little help from Crimson they figured it meant the state of California’s state motto. Eureka! I’ve found it. Getting Love from a mother caused the girls to get rather squeamish. Eventually they were able to buy a bottle of breast milk from a mother and her infant. The mother was positive that she was going to be on a new TV show.

Upon completion Miss Manners returned and offered to change them back or let them stay as girls if they wanted. The guys quickly took the chance to get back into their old bodies. Miss Manners then declared them the winners and left. The mall was still full of teen girls trying to win the game.

Game Synopsis

The group reconvened back at the base to figure out a way to get to the moon so that they could help Midnight rescue her friend. After cleaning up and getting something to eat they began to run down some leads and finally resorted to contacting Silver Avenger Webster. Webster came through and was able to secure The Protector’s sky cruiser and pilot for the trip.
After refueling at the international space station the team had the pilot, Ken Jacobs, do a couple of passes over the mining camp while cloaked. They discovered a large ship along with several smaller ships and a number of drones patrolling the area. After some lengthy discussions as to tactics it was finally decided that a distraction and frontal assault would be the only way of getting into the large ship.
Midnight exited the ship and flew in to engage some of the drones while the others made a bee-line for the airlock. The team managed to gain access and entered the ship. They proceeded to try to find the captive Gossamer going room by room. It seemed that as soon as one of the slaves made an attempt to revolt they were immediately shut down and incapable of movement. Such was the state that they found Gossamer in. Just as the group found Gossamer, Street-Angel stumbled upon a Malvan Battle-bot who began to engage. Street-Angel was able to lead it away from the group in his light form while the others took down some of the Miners and security drones.
Suddenly a voice thundered throughout the vessel and commanded the heroes to give up. Several aliens appeared and began attacking the group. Being vastly outgunned the heroes chose to take Gossamer and make their escape. Midnight made her way back into the ship as the others began their retreat. The ship lurched and appeared ready to take off just as the heroes got to the airlock under fire from the Malvan Battle-bot, Manslaughter, Massacre and a Mon’dabi shapeshifter. Midnight engaged Massacre and was grabbed by the Mon’dabi just as Twister grabbed most of the heroes, cleared the airlock and the ship shot into space.
The group got back to the sky cruiser only to realize that Midnight did not make it. It was a rather somber trip back to Earth as they realized that Midnight may be gone forever.

Game Synopsis

The Knights are returning from Victorville as Psi-Kick speaks to Midnight. Midnight has spent the past two days tracking down her friend Gossamer who she has found has been abducted by her previous captors, Manslaughter. She flew to the moon and has discovered a mining camp where she is sure that Manslaughter is keeping Gossamer. Midnight has returned to Earth to get help in rescuing Gossamer and taking down Manslaughter.

They all get back to the Knights’ base and begin to work up a plan to get to the moon after some much needed rest and showers. They explore several avenues which all have a variety of issues. Midnight returns to the site where she and Gossamer hid the craft they stole from Manslaughter to make their escape and finds it destroyed. The team toys with the idea of contacting PRIMUS for assistance and as they do, Silver Avenger Webster calls them.

It seems that PRIMUS has intercepted a message suggesting that an imminent attack is coming to ARGENT facility that they are still searching. Webster needs someone there now and needs the Knights’ help. The team rallies and heads over to the warehouse in Irvine. When they get there the attack is already underway and two squads of agents have already been incapacitated. They launch an attack against the Crimelords and find that the supervillains are prepared and powerful. They manage to knock out two of the Crimelords but the Knight’s also suffer two quick casualties before they start to regroup and apply some pressure to the villains.

Just as the heroes were beginning to get some momentum it seemed as if the wheels came off. Mr. Expeditious was crushed below the truck that fell over when Dreadnaught attacked but fortunately Psi-Kick made a miraculous recovery. Unfortunately Tiger Lily also made a speedy recovery. The heroes fought bravely as Twister was holding his own against Starflare but the villain made his way back to the main battle and lured Twister with him. Psi-Kick smartly moved behind a wall to catch her breath as Crimson, Midnight and Street Angel tried to handle the villains. Tiger Lily and Dreadnaught teamed up on Midnight and took her down and both Warhammer and Dreadnaught ganged up on Crimson Lake. Psi-Kick was attacking the villains mentally from behind the wall when she was finally noticed by Tiger Lily. Warhammer and Starflare took down Twister and between Dreadnaught and Tiger Lily, Psi-Kick fell as well. Street Angel chose discretion as the better part of valor and moved into the warehouse where a PRIMUS squad was holed up. When the Crimelords entered, Street Angel told the squad to lay down their arms knowing that they were no match for the Supervillains.

In the aftermath, PRIMUS’s backup finally arrived along with Silver Avenger Webster. While he was not at all happy, he did understand how powerful the Crimelords were. Ultimately, the villains made off with four pallets worth of a very strong metal called Questonite. Webster also mentioned that he called in a favor and The Protectors of San Francisco will lend the team their ship to get to the moon.

XP and Rewards

Due to the loss the players only receive 3XP each for the adventure. Mr. Expeditious receives 2 for the first part.

MVP

Crimson Lake was awarded the MVP for her actions during the battle. She receives one additional XP for the adventure.

Notes

The Heroes are being picked up by the pilot of the ship that can take them to the Moon. They also may want to further investigate Questonite and its properties.
