Game Synopsis:
The Keep, Santa Monica Bay, Los Angeles County, California

Hardcore, PSI-Kick, and Twister are at the bank to cash their action figure residual checks. Unfortunately Tachyon decides to rob the bank at the same time. Just as the super battle really got started the super villainess Ambush teleported next to Tachyon and they teleported away.

Later the Hollywood Knights investigation revealed that Tachyon and Ambush appeared several blocks away. The camera shows that the pair is whisked away rapidly west. PSI-Kick correctly identified the powers as Gravity, not Super Speed based. They suspect the culprit as Kinematik, a mutant supervillain, a mutant supremacist, and leader of the Mutant Liberation Front.

Street Angel chuckles when he checks his action figure residual figure for $2,100 (Note: Roll a “3” made by 11). Myrlyn’s by the book rules hinders our investigation. As does PSI-Kick’s reluctance to us her Mental Powers openly , but I will continue to respect their positions and try not to hassle them.

Myrlyn puts through a call from Stronghold Prison. A woman asking for Mr. Motion. I regretfully informed her that he was killed in action several weeks ago. She informs them that “Shatter” has broken out of his special cell. Security cameras recorded a figure, grabbed Shatter and teleported out of the cell. Outside, they were again seen whisking away rapidly west.

Street Angel’s theory is that Kinematik is collecting Teleporters. He contacts Lady Blue and assures her they are continuing their pursuit of her stalker, Holocaust. He asks her if she can contact GRAB and inquire if Cheshire was alright… Apparently he is on a job.

Street Angel contacts the Protectors and informs them about about Kinematic is collecting Teleporters. Doc Sonic and Huntsman report that innate (Mutants/Mutates/Magic) Teleporters have superior accuracy compared to technological Teleporters. Technology as it exists needs a transfer device and long range teleportation commonly requires both a transmitting and receiving device.

Street Angel’s mother Lux calls and informs him Nox (his adopted uncle) has gone missing from their bungalow at the Sanctuary Resort on Kiritimati Island (Christmas Island). I offer her the teams assistance, but she declines.

Afterwords Street Angel contacts Silver Avenger Webster and informs him of his suspicion is that Kinematik is collecting Teleporters.

We deduced Kinematik’s westward direction triangulates towards Kiritimati Island. Street Angel tries calling his mother, but she does not pick up. Unable to reach his mother he calls the Sanctuary Resort, making reservations for for the Hollywood Knights and asking for clearances for the Skycruiser.

Myrlyn’s database information on Kiritimati Island reveals the it to be a former nuclear testing ground, but the radiation levels are almost normal. It is also home of Genowa, the mutant city state.

Street Angel assembles the Hollywood Knights, boards the Skycruiser, and has Myrlyn charts their course for PSI-Kick. Racing across the early morning sky. They arrive local time in the early morning.

They are met on the airfield by Strikeforce, a member of the Sanctuary staff, with a transport vehicle. We get in and takes us to the Resort. Informing Street Angel that Lux and Nox are missing from their bungalow. We can review the security records at the Resort. On arrival we are met by a duplicate of Strikeforce, and by another as we enter the lobby.

The receptionist at the desk is introduced as Dana Watson. We check in and then Street Angel informs them of their secondary purpose. Teleporters have been disappearing and our prime suspect is the mutant supremacist Kinematik of the Mutant Liberation Front.

At Lux and Nox’s bungalow they find it empty and Street Angel finds his mother’s cellphone with 12 missed calls from his number. Unfortunately he cannot unlock it.

When Strikeforce learns this he tries unsuccessfully to contact Sanctuary staff member Pooka, a teleporter. It appears that he is missing too. He assembles the Sanctuary staff. Including Peacemaker, the chef, a reprogrammed Mechanon Robot.

List of Missing Teleporters:
Tachyon (Independent Supervillain) – Aided by Kinematik
Ambush (Independent Supervillain) – Aided by Kinematik
Portal (Mutant Underground)
Shatter (Stronghold Prisoner) – Suspect Kinematik
Cheshire (GRAB) – Reportedly on a solo job. (Lady Blue)
Nox (Street Angel’s Uncle) – Reported missing by Lux (Street Angel’s mother)
Pooka (Sanctuary) – Discovered missing upon arrival.

Game Synopsis

Street Angel assembles the Hollywood Knights for a meeting, but is interrupted by a call on his commlink. Answering “This is Street Angel, Hollywood Knights how can I help you?” A voice on the other side speaks with in English with a Spanish accent. “Senior Street Angel, my name is Paco. I am the executive assistant of Mayor Alvarez of the city of Rosarito Beach, Baja California, Mexico. We have an emergency situation. The Mayor has asked for your assistance.”

Street Angel gestures to the others for quiet. Speaking into the commlink. “We need authorization to operate in Mexico. If you can give me your coordinates we can be there fast… Who gave you our contact Information?”

EA Paco replies “Senor Webster, the PRIMUS Silver Avenger”. Street Angel fumes a little at this.

Looking from the commlink he calls out to the Base A.I. “Myrlyn, check these coordinates, check the satellites for unusual conditions. Identify the Mayor Alvarez and his Executive Assistant Paco using voice recognition from my commlink.”

Turning to the Hollywood Knights. “Alright Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s 162 miles to Rosarito, we got a Skycruiser with a full tank of gas, 40% of a plan, it’s cold out, and we’re wearing skin tights costumes.”

Myrlyn reports a field of near absolute zero cold. Originating from the Peninsular mountain range and moving slowly north.

On arrival the Team meets with Mayor Alvarez, Executive Assistant Paco, and Police Federal Sgt. Martinez. Who offer their full support.

We learn that a local superhero Volcan with Fire Powers flew into the field and never returned.

The Team struggles to get past the effects of the cold field. They discover that it the cold effect is secondary to the time effects and the field is expanding.

Mayor Alvarez called in the Young 6 and Mr. X (aka Senor Equis). They offer assistance to the Hollywood Knights. They offer a gadget that lets them operate within the Time/Cold field and Sgt. Martinez offers them Cold Weather gear.

The Team locates Volcan’s frozen body and are ambushed by Animated Snowmen. Victorious they return Volcan to safety.

The Team locates the origin point of the Time/Cold field. They arrive at the location and discover a Cave. Inside they’re attacked by an Iceman and after an exchange of attacks. PSI-Kick shatters the Iceman with her lethal PSI-Weapons.

Street Angel asks Amber to preserve the shattered remains of the body in amber for evidence before moving on to shutdown the device. We find it surrounded by an almost impenetrable field, but PSI-Kick’s telekinetic chain easily reaches in and turns off the device. Before we can examine the device it vanishes in a blur. The Hollywood Knights returns to Mayor Alvarez with the amber preserved remains of the Iceman and report the all clear.

Mayor Alvarez offers his thanks and gratitude. (Favor)

Street Angel collects the gadgets provided by Mr. X (Senor Equis) “Thank you for the loan Mr. X, I am sure the gadgets worked as designed?” Implying that he knows about them gathering information on them.

Street Angel requests PRIMUS examine the remains to identify the unknown Iceman.

Game Synopsis

Street Angel gets word that there is a new drug on the street. It is called Black Velvet and seems to grant the user strange powers in addition to causing them to become overly aggressive and agitated. He calls around to see if others have heard of anything about it and reaches out to Hardcore somewhat reluctantly. The two seem to be having some personality issues due to their opposite views. Street Angel begins to investigate and it leads him to suspect a scion of the very wealthy Somethingorother family, Shyla, a notorious party girl. He is able to track her movements through her Twitter feed to a nightclub called XOXOX. There he runs into a mysterious stranger who seems to know a great deal about him including his Secret ID. This deters Street Angel for the moment.

Meanwhile, Hardcore receives a call from his sister and he and Midnight quickly make their way to his apartment. Sarah tells Tommy that Caprise, or Honey Badger as she is known to the Mutant Underground came to the apartment seeming more disturbed than usual. Sarah is worried that she may have been under the influence of Black Velvet but is perplexed at how the drug could have effected Caprise given her general immunity to toxins and poisons. Hardcore and Midnight have little problem tracking Honey Badger as she is only a block away. They rush over and Hardcore tries to reason with Caprise. As she becomes more and more agitated Hardcore finally resorts to trying to restrain her. This escalates into a battle where Honey Badger seems to be gaining the upper hand. Hardcore calls Psi-Kick for backup and she in turn calls Street Angel. With the added firepower they are able to finally subdue Honey Badger thanks to Psi-Kick’s mental powers. They turn her over to PRIMUS for safe keeping.

Hardcore decides to try his luck getting into XOXOX with Quindy by his side. Ultimately he is also unsuccessful even after resorting to pushing his way past the bouncers. Once in the doors he and Quindy come face to face with the mysterious stranger that Street Angel had run across earlier. They finally leave when Street Angel alerts them to a bank robbery taking place down the street. Psi-Kick and Street Angel also respond and the group comes face to face with a group of PRIMUS agents who seem to be under the effects of Black Velvet and the would be robbers. The team is making quick work of the robbers when the PRIMUS agents attack them. While they are very resistant to both physical attacks and Street Angel’s light based energy they can be restrained and are effected by Midnight’s blasts. The group manages to subdue them and calls PRIMUS to take them into custody.

The group returns to the nightclub and finds it empty. They finally resort to staking out the home of Shyla Somethingorother and Street Angel heads home to get some rest. After quite some time they see the young debutante leave in her car. Quindy flies them high overhead to keep from being noticed and they follow her to the waterfront. She gets into a yacht and heads out to sea. They track her to a very large floating building and head inside. As they move through the submerged corridors they see an imprisoned Giant Squid whose ink seems to be being harvested for the creation of Black Velvet. Shyla confronts them and changes into an aquatic form and surrounds herself with shades under the influence of Black Velvet. A battle ensues and the Shades run interference for Nocticia. Hardcore finally smashes the wall to the Squid’s aquarium which begins to flood the structure. Nocticia shatters the wall to the corridor which floods the area entirely and makes her escape. Hardcore releases the Squid and Quindy rescues Tommy and Nicole. Tommy managed to collect a pure sample of the Squid ink and they return it to PRIMUS. PRIMUS technicians are able to fashion an antidote for Black Velvet from the sample.

Game Synopsis

Mutant Underground Safehouse, Los Angeles
Mon, July, 04, 2016 – 08:00 PST

The Hollywood Knights temporary new base is a Mutant Underground safehouse. The team is celebrating the 4th of July.

We learn that IMAGE has been successfully recruiting from the Mutant Underground.

Our celebration is interrupted by a Breaking News Flash. Captain Stalwart is dead. Murdered by an unknown superhuman. Other reports cover the theft of 10 bodies from a local Harris Landing graveyard.

Mr. Motion tells us that Captain Stalwart was an old friend and he is leaving to investigate his friend’s death. Hollywood Knights join him in Harris Landing.

City Center, Harris Landing
Mon, July, 04, 2016 – 10:00 PST

Hollywood Knights arrive to find a fresh crime scene with Law Enforcement, Crime Scene Investigators, and the Media.

Street Angel finds the highest ranking police officer, HLPD Lt. Morgan and offers their assistance. He is introduced to the lead HLPD Detective Davis. He had two witnesses, but no camera coverage.

We learned that here have been two other unexplained deaths recently. The local High School Principal Paul Daniels, and a local Mortician James Morgenson.

Our investigation kicks into high gear. We learn that David Morgenson, son of James Morgenson, and our prime suspect. Our investigation of the Morgenson’s home reinforces our suspicions.

We interviewed David Morgenson’s Vice Principle Dana Niedermeyer We convince her to identify David Morgenson’s friends, enemies, and bullies. The Hollywood Knights leave the school to interview them.

The investigation goes on for several days and while we know who we are looking for we can’t seem to find anything. Captain Stalwart, aka James Epstein, is laid to rest on Friday, July 8th. Unfortunately we are no closer to catching his killer.

Cemetery, Harris Landing
Tues, July, 08, 2016 – 10:00 PST

The day of Captain Stalwart’s funeral for is a who’s who of VIP’s, celebrities, and Superheroes. Including the Champions, the Protectors, and Hollywood Knights.

Mr. Motion stands in for his comrade’s family. At the most dramatic moment Carcass (aka David Morgenson) drops his disguise as City Councilman Davis, dozens of Zombies break through to the surface and attack the mourners.

Carcass grabs the body of Captain Stalwart before anyone can react and teleports away with the body.

My only job was to protect the body, but I failed.

The police, security, and superheroes quickly destroy the zombie horde, but there are casualties. The body count is 18 dead and 31 wounded.

The Champions and Protectors escort the mourners to safety and the local Law Enforcement imposes a curfew. Hollywood Knights will patrol the town looking for zombies and Carcass.

The heroes rescue several teens caught outside, but even so failed to save everyone. Later that night they receive an emergency call from the HLPD.

Gina Gomez, a local high school teacher was brutally murdered in her home. The body was dismembered. We come to the conclusion that the perpetrator must have been a Zombie Captain Stalwart.

A car crashes down into the living room.

I order the HLPD to clear the area and Hollywood Knights engage Zombie Captain Stalwart.

Knowing Captain Stalwart’s capabilities I unleash my most lethal attack. Zombie Captain Stalwart targets me. Using a Death from Above attack it charges through me as I become light, crashing into the ground, and burying itself in a crater.

Hollywood Knights gang up on it. I clear the hole, not wanting to get caught in an area attack. The others do not listen to my warning.

Carcass makes another dramatic entrance and attacks Mr. Motion, stunning him. Amber traps them in the crater. I heal Mr. Motion and restore him enough to return to the fight. Carcass loses the initiative and teleports away with Zombie Captain Stalwart.

Frustration does not begin to describe how I feel.

The Champions, the Protectors, and Hollywood Knights meet up and convince the Authorities to evacuate the town. A brief debate on who escorts the civilians to safety ends with the Hollywood Knights staying behind to deal with the threat.

Defender gives us a map of a network of caverns under the cemetery as the possible lair of Carcass.

Midnight digs a tunnel into the caverns and Hollywood Knights search and destroy any Zombies we find. We locate Carcass’s sleeping area, entertainment area, and a cavern with his semi-sentient Zombie mother.

She babbles on about her son and his new friends. About how her husband murdered her by pushing her down the stairs. We leave her alone to her knitting. Mr. Motion does not even suggest destroying her.

A search of Carcass’s sleeping area reveals a cut fingernail under the mattress. Deducing that it may be a teleport focus we lay an ambush for Carcass. While waiting for our targets we deduce that Carcass and the Zombies may be vulnerable to sunlight.

Carcass’s Lair , Harris Landing
Tues, July, 09, 2016 – 05:17 PST (Sunrise)

As the hours pass and dawn approaches Carcass and Zombie Captain Stalwart arrive. Detecting our presence they move to attack us.

Mr. Motion attacks Zombie Captain Stalwart and is hit by Carcass. I unleash everything on Zombie Captain Stalwart and the others move into position.

Mr. Motion grabs Carcass and drags him to the surface. In the sunlight he begins to burn.

Meanwhile in the caverns below, the rest of Hollywood Knights continue to battle Zombie Captain Stalwart.

The battle is desperate and Carcass escapes from the burning sun and teleports into the sleeping area.

I try to distract Zombie Captain Stalwart as Hollywood Knights gang up on Carcass.

Mr. Motion grabs Carcass and drags him to the surface. Where upon Twister carries them both farther into the sunlight and the villain begins to burn.

Meanwhile in the caverns below; the rest of Hollywood Knights continue to battle Zombie Captain Stalwart.

Carcass escapes from the burning sun and teleports into the sleeping area. Where he is attacked by Midnight, Amber, and PSI-Kick.

I manage to delay Zombie Captain Stalwart for a moment. Seeing his Master in danger he flies over, grabbing Carcass, and makes for the surface. Quickly pursued by the whole team of Hollywood Knights from above and below.

I manage to chip away some more of Zombie Captain Stalwart. Before pursuing them both just outside the entrance.

Twister and Mr. Motion are both badly wounded by an attack by Carcass. In desperation Carcass strikes Mr. Motion a mortal wound literally blowing his body apart. Zombie Captain Stalwart hesitates and Carcass looks angrily on his slave. “I guess this does not make us friends anymore.” echoing his contempt.

A glimmer of humanity returns to Zombie Captain Stalwart. “Matt!!! What have I done? What have I become?” Mr. Motion dies mumbling words to his friend. Turning on his master he grabs Carcass and flies straight towards the sun dropping the villain from what has to be a half mile up.

Carcass teleports away only to land in PSI-Kicks hands (Literally) where she has the fingernail. She attacks the villain but her attack appears ineffective. Enraged I unleash a barrage of deadly living light bolts at point blank range on the villain who is on the ground. Knocking him unconscious.

The team stops me before I unleash another barrage on a defenseless target. Calming me down as we call in PRIMUS to arrest, detain, and transport Carcass.

I try to bring Mr. Motion back, but his spirit is gone. I heal Twister and we wait. The PRIMUS Agents arrive to find us around the body of our teammate Mr. Motion aka Matthew Doxen.

Silver Avenger Webster agrees to handle the body of Mr. Motion with respect and the highest level of security.
